All are welcome! Come experience the beauty of this exquisite 19th century sanctuary dressed for the holidays, illuminated with the glow of candlelight, and ringing with the music of the season, all to remind us of the miracle that Christ has come to dwell with us and in us.

“Living Gospel Ministry”
to Perform at All Saints Church

On Sunday, January 5th at 9:30 am, All Saints Church will host the Living Gospel Ministry’s dramatic reenactment of the “Sermon on the Mount.” This is a word for word retelling of the famous sermon, using the modern day language of the “Message Bible.” The parish welcomes the community to join them for this exciting program!

The Living Gospel Ministry (http://www.livinggospelministry.com) was founded by Matthew and Tina Zawisza out of a call to bring the never-changing message of the Gospel to an ever-changing world. They bring the Word of God to life in a way that is relevant for today. Often we forget that before it was the written word, the Bible was the spoken word. Through their first-person presentations, the Living Gospel Ministry gives people the opportunity to experience the Gospel in the same way as those who first heard it.

Lasting about twenty minutes, this dramatic retelling is incorporated into the regular Eucharist service and will serve as the sermon for Sunday. For more information, contact Rev. Gary Strubel at fatherstrubel@yahoo.com.

All Saints Church to decorate “Jesse Tree”

On Sunday, December 15th at 9:30 AM, the congregation at All Saints Church in Hoosick will decorate their “Jesse Tree” which represents the genealogy, or family tree, of Jesus.

Readings from the old and new testaments describing the prophecy of Christ’s birth and God’s plan for our salvation will be read by teens from the All Saints Youth Ministry. Each reading is represented by a symbolic ornament that will be placed on a Christmas tree by one of the younger parish children.

The Jesse Tree ceremony will take place in lieu of the homily at the regular 9:30 Eucharist Service. The ceremony is specifically geared towards children, and all are warmly welcomed to attend!

Light refreshments will follow the service.

August 15, 2013
Dear Parish Family:
Beginning this Fall, All Saints Church will incorporate both Morning and Evening Prayer into the public worship of our parish. Starting Sunday, September 8th at 9:00 am, Peter Schaaphok will lead Morning Prayer before the Eucharist service. Beginning Tuesday, September 10th at 6:30 pm, I'll resume Evening Prayer with anointing for healing.

The Morning Prayer service should last about 15 minutes. It will be a quiet, said service without music. Our regular Holy Eucharist service (with music) will follow at 9:30. We ask that you remain quiet between services to respect those in prayer and reflection. Coffee hour will resume on September 8th, so there will be plenty of time for fellowship after the Eucharist.

Our Evening Prayer service is likewise a quiet, said service that incorporates prayers and anointing for healing.

The Daily Office is an ancient practice of the church that marks the passage of the day with prayer. As Morning and Evening Prayer are important parts of our Anglican tradition, we're proud to offer them on a regular, weekly basis. I hope you can join us.

In Christ,
Rev. Gary Strubel
